The unit guarantees both the operator and the working environment protection from potential biohazard infections, but no protection for the sample being manipulated
Independently type tested and approved to BS EN 12469 : 2025 by the UK’s leading authority on Microbiological Safety Cabinets, the Health Security Agency.
Manufactured to the highest quality standards, our state-of-the-art biosafety solution is equipped with H14 HEPA Filters to create an ISO Class 5 Clean Environment and features an intuitive control system, energy-efficient LED lighting, controlled airflow and UV sterilisation functionality.
Protection is provided via a constant inward airflow (personnel protection) through the front working aperture, preventing escape of airborne particulate contamination from the cabinet. The contaminated air then makes its way into a HEPA-filter system (environmental protection) before it is safely exhausted from the enclosure.
Class 1 Biological Safety Cabinets are suitable for work with microbiological agents assigned to Biosafety Levels 1, 2, 3 or 4.
