Circulaire® Recirculating Fume Cupboard is designed to safely contain and filter hazardous fumes, vapours, and airborne particulates in laboratories and industrial environments.
Recirculating Fume Cupboards can be installed anywhere within your workspace and, thanks to our advanced carbon filtration technology, require no ducting to an external environment. This system utilises high-efficiency filters to provide optimal protection for users without the need for external ventilation. Its compact design makes it ideal for spaces with limited access to an external exhaust, offering a reliable and energy-efficient alternative to traditional fume hoods. We offer Activated Carbon, for Chemical Filtration or HEPA Filters, for Particulate, or a combination if your application requires.
The Filtration Fume Cupboard operates by drawing air into the unit through the front sash.
As air passes through the system, it is filtered by high-performance particulate and activated carbon filters, which trap harmful chemicals, fumes, and particulates. Clean, filtered air is then recirculated back into the workspace.
The unit is equipped with variable airflow control to ensure that the flow rate is optimised for the specific needs of the user. Additionally, real-time data on airflow and filter performance is available through the digital interface, ensuring that the system continues to operate safely and efficiently.
Recirculating clean air back into your laboratory or working environment ensures that Ductless Fume Hood solutions are more environmentally friendly than a Ducted option, and the environmental impact of exhausting fumes to the outside atmosphere.

A Recirculating Fume Cupboard, also known as a ductless fume cupboard, is a type of laboratory equipment designed to capture hazardous fumes, vapours, and particulates. Instead of venting these contaminants outside, the cupboard uses advanced filtration technology to clean the air and return it to the room, making it an eco-friendly and flexible solution.
Our Recirculating Fume Cupboards are ideal for:
These cupboards use multi-stage filtration systems to purify the air:
Monmouth Scientific offers a range of filters to suit diverse applications:
Filter replacement intervals depend on usage and the type of contaminants handled. On average:
Our team provides detailed maintenance guidance to ensure optimal performance.
To maintain safety and efficiency:
Yes. All our recirculating fume cupboards are designed to comply with BS EN 14175-2:2020 standards, ensuring reliable performance and user safety.

Recirculating fume cupboards are a great choice for labs needing flexibility and cost-efficiency, while ducted models are better suited for high-volume contaminant removal.
Engineered for performance, reliability, and operator usability, our solutions deliver practical features and measurable benefits to support a wide range of controlled environment applications.
Eliminates expensive external ducting, simplifies installation, and makes the unit portable for flexible positioning.
Real-time monitoring of airflow and filter life enhances user safety and reduces downtime.
Recirculating air reduces the need for external ventilation, lowering energy consumption and operational costs.
Captures a wide range of chemicals and particulates, ensuring a cleaner and safer working environment.
Fully compliant for Filtration Fume/Particulate Cupboards and COSHH regulations.
PIR Sensors ensure efficient energy consumption by placing the cabinet in Eco Mode after a period of operator inactivity.
