What is a Laminar Flow Cabinet?
A Laminar Flow Cabinet, also known as a LAF or Laminar Flow Hood, has a sole purpose of protecting a product by removing both particulates and dust within an application. Fan driven air is cleaned by both a pre-filter and HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate Air) filter, before it is projected into the working area in a Laminar Flow Pattern. This creates an air curtain at the front face of the cabinet and prevents airborne particulate from entering the controlled environment. The air can be projected in both a Vertical or Horizontal direction.
